ixFlashcard Mobile and Desktop Manual






Install Option
  Creates a "flashcards" directory in the "My Documents" directory on your device. Also copies over a sample flashcard file that illustrates the capabilities of the software.

Only asked on the first time ixFlashcard is run.
 
 
 
 



Main Screen (1)
  Opens the Options Menu Screen
  Opens the Statistics Screen
  Opens the Flashcard File Details Screen
  Also opens the Statistics Screen
  Flips the flashcard over to reveal the other side.



Main Screen (2)
  Goes back to the previous card.
  Opens the Jump To Dialog - allowing you to jump to a particular number card.
  Tap if you did NOT get the answer correct - will advance to the next card.
  Tap if you got the answer correct - will advance to the next card.
  Indicates the current mode: Arrange Cards, Sequential, Random, Intelligent or Cram-10.



Main Screen (3)
  This tab when tapped will either "Pull" the card out of the deck, or "Replace" it back in the deck.
  Notification area - will display messages that can be dismissed by tapping the "OK" button. When there are no messages, it will display running statistics.
 
 
 



Main Screen (4)
  When visable indicates there is a sound on this side of the card. Tap to play.
  This tab when tapped will either "Pull" the card out of the deck, or "Replace" it back in the deck.
  Status - indicates which card number you are one, as well as how many cards are in the deck (will change if cards are pulled).
  Running summary statistics - indicates the % correct for the current card, as well as the % correct for all cards in the pack.
 



Jump To Dialog (Main Screen)
  Dialog so that the user can enter a card number to jump to.
 
 
 
 



Options Menu Screen (1)
  Opens ixFlashcard Packs (*.ixf files).
  Opens LEGACY ixFlashcard Packs (*.txt files).
  Enables the ability to "Pull" cards from the deck. This will effectively take a card out of rotation - like taking a card out of the deck and setting it aside.
  Tapping this button, will put all cards that are pulled back into the deck.
 



Options Menu Screen (2)
  Sets which side of the card to "ask".
  Changes the size of the text displayed.
  Shuffle Mode: selects how the next card is displayed.
  • "Arrange Deck" - displays sequentially without recording right/wrong - so that you can pull/replace cards in the deck.
  • "Sequential" - asks in order.
  • "Random" - will randomly select cards to ask.
  • "Intelligent" - will select the next card based on your previous performance - the more times you got one wrong or spent more time on it, the more often it is asked.
  • "Cram-10" - this will select the 10 most often missed cards and only ask those 10.

    Options Menu Screen (3)
      Opens the About Screen.
      Opens the Library - an external webpage with freely available user submitted Packs.
      Opens the help page (this page) - an external webpage.
      Opens the addons page - an external webpage listing other software available to work with ixFlashcard Mobile.
      Quits ixFlashcard.



    Open Website Dialog (Options Menu Screen)
      Dialog screen to verify that the user wants to open the external webpage.
     
     
     
     



    Statistics Screen
      Flashcard file details: title and number of cards.
      Number of cards tried, % correct and time spent this study session.
      Number of cards tried, % correct and time spent in ALL study sessions.
      Statistics for each individual card.
      This will clear all statistics for the file - resetting ALL sessions to 0.



    Flashcard File Details Screen
      File name and Title
      Shows number of cards, images and sounds in the file.
      Shows the physical location of the file on the device.
      Shows Credits, Author and/or Source information for the Pack.
      When a LEGACY file is open - a button will be displayed that will convert the legacy file over to the *.ixf format.



    About Screen (1)
      Displays the software version and build number.
      This button when pressed, will display boxes to input the Registration Name and Registration Key.
     
     
     



    About Screen (2)
      Registration Name: Usually 2 words seperated by a space. Most often a first and last name, but can also be other combinations.
      Registration Key: 1 string of letters and numbers. It is case sensitive!
